Community. Collaboration. Connection.
Shared Soil Productions is on a mission to highlight stories told by and focused on the Queer-BIPOC community. Here, each story is cultivated with care, nurtured by collective experiences, and grown from a place of authenticity and inclusivity.
At Shared Soil Productions, we believe that representation leads to understanding which leads to connection. We bring our whole selves across all intersections to every one of our projects and encourage the same freedoms to any artists we collaborate with.
We are thrilled to share that our first feature-length documentary, My Hair, My Rules which explores Men of Color’s emotional connection to their hair received Audience Choice Award at the New York Lift-Off 2021’s virtual film festival! Watch the film now!
Our next project is a narrative series called NATIVES. The series follows a group of unapologetic, queer, native New Yorkers navigating adulting in the projects of NYC. We want to thank everyone who contributed to our recent crowdfunding campaign to help us raise over $20K to bring this project to life. Stream NATIVES now and follow our journey on Instagram, X, and Facebook.
